Elizabeth (Liz) Celeste Marhold, 35 years old, beloved Daughter of Mary Belinda and William Todd Marhold of Henderson, Nevada, passed after a prolonged illness on January 17, 2023, and is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Liz (or Celeste, as her family called her) was born in Las Vegas, NV on May 8, 1987.
Liz attended Silverado High School and then pursued her higher education at UNLV on a full scholarship in the Honors program, majoring in business and marketing.
She worked at MAC Cosmetics for 17 years, most recently as operations manager. Liz was passionate about helping and teaching others. Her work, leadership, artistry, caring heart, and angelic touch gave her the amazing ability to make everyone feel beautiful.
Liz was the sweetest soul, always an old soul, and, she would say, a rebel soul. Exuding a love for life and adventure, she would freely offer a burst of joyful laughter and abundant smiles. She was filled with love and compassion and lifted up everyone around her. She had a special love for music, nourished and fostered by her Grammy. Liz played the piano, harp, and violin like an angel. We were surrounded by her soothing music. She was so creative and loved painting, decorating, reading, and writing amazing stories, always keeping the magic alive.
As a child, she loved the beach. Later in life, a free spirit at heart, she loved to travel abroad and sample local and exotic foods. She enjoyed sharing her experiences through vlogs and blogs. Her happiest times were spent in Bali, Indonesia.
Liz was deeply spiritual. She practiced yoga and had a deep respect for different religions from which she sought to learn wisdom, fueling that love and compassion for everyone around her.
Liz is survived by her loving parents, Mary Knight Marhold and Todd Marhold of Henderson, NV and predeceased by her grandparents, Elizabeth Jane and Dale Parent Burkhiser of Las Vegas, Betty Jane and Maurice Donald Knight of Midwest City, OK, and great grandmother Elizabeth Jane Doyle.
Along with her parents, Liz is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Leonard and Alyson Burkhiser and their daughter Ashley, Don and Trish Knight, David and Barbara Knight and their children Danielle and Christopher, Glory Harper and her children Robin and Nick, Leslie and Bill Callaway, Kim Knight, Laura Knight and Tom Coutu and their children Lauren and Dayne, Greg and Sandy Knight and their children Scott and Kelsey, Liz and Jim West and their children Heather, Jordan and Savannah, and Tom and Charlie Knight and their children Libby, Brandon, and Carson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of the compassion and time that Liz devoted to the charities Safenest, Suicide Prevention, or the Rape Crisis Center.
Liz was the absolute joy of our lives, and we were so proud to be her parents. Heaven has received our beloved angel, and she will be missed deeply by the many friends and family that she left behind on this earth.
