Edward Eugene Kilgore (Gene) 72, passed away on March 12, 2001 at UCLA Medical Center. He was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Corrie Kilgore and brother Wayne Kilgore. He leaves Betty, his loving wife of 52 years; two brothers, Timothy Kilgore (wife Kathy), and Terry Kilgore; several nieces and nephews including two that grew up next door and became very close, Vickie Dittenber and Jerry Quincy. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on October 28, 1938 and lived there until moving to Blackshear, Georgia where he resided for five years before moving to Nevada in April of 2010. He was an ordained Baptist minister and pastored Southgate Baptist Church for nine years in Jacksonville, FL and had been supply pastor at several other churches. He was previously a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He received his degree in Theology at North Florida Baptist Theological Seminary. Services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 12:00 at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV. Service will be officiated by Pastor Curt Reed.
