Edward Hall

Edward Hall was born September 3, 1929 to Edward Napolean Hall and Jane Martin Hall in Columbus, Ohio. They moved to Piketon, Kentucky in 1934. He attended public school, grades kindergarten-twelfth, played sports, and was a musician in the school band; a trombonist. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, went to Infantry Division in Fort Benning, Georgia, where he attended a Basic Airborne course and became a qualified Parachutist and Gliderman. He served in the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant of his unit. He served six years and was honorably discharged on June 14, 1953, and moved to Cleveland, Ohio.

He was hired by the U.S Postal Service, worked for two years as a Railway Mail clerk, and then transferred to a Letter Carrier position in Cleveland. He met Margaret Wilson in 1960. They were married on December 9, 1961. They had one son, Martin. He became disabled after a knee surgery and left the Postal Service after twenty-eight years of service. Later, he attended Cleveland State University and obtained a two-year degree in Business Administration. After more rehabilitation, he was hired by the State of Ohio as a Claims Adjuster. He retired after four years. In his retirement, he became an excellent cook and avid gardener. He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Margaret; loving sons, Martin and Grant; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bawls; and a host of nieces and nephews, good friends, and neighbors. He will never be forgotten.
