Dorothy (Dot) Marie Thompson, 87, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 8, 1933. She married Walter Thompson on October 31, 1954 and together they had (4) children. They lived in Farmingdale, NY until 1966 when they packed up the family and headed to Las Vegas. Dot worked as a school secretary in the Clark County School District for 32 years. She opened several new elementary schools during that time and took great pride in her work there. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends ... and always enjoyed a good party!!
Dorothy was preceded in death by her ex-husband Walter, brother Joseph, sister Margaret, and daughter Regina. She is survived by daughter Maureen (Barbara), sons Michael (Debbie), Raymond (Tina), sister Rita DeTommaso of Albuquerque; grandchildren Brad, Ashleigh, Brian, Amy, Madison and Gavin; great-grandchildren Dylan and Lexi. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dot's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89135. Graveside service immediately following at Palm, 6701 No Jones, Las Vegas, NV 89131. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Catholic Relief
