Dorothy Mack was born in Plant City, Florida the youngest of six children born to Minnie Lou Ingram and Alanzo Gaye. Dorothy attended Plant City High School; later in life she relocated to Oakland, California where she studied to become a dietitian at Laney College. While in Oakland Dorothy worked for the Fairmount Hotel in San Francisco as a prep cook before moving on to become a dietitian for Mills College in Oakland, California. She later married Jerry Mack (deceased) and was also the mother to eleven children: Robert Bond (deceased), Bobby Bond (deceased), Margaret Greer, Freda Rathford, Amy Briggs (deceased), Percy Michaels (deceased), Larry Washington, Marsha Dickson, Donald Bearden, and Linda Bradford. Dorothy was the Grandmother to 29 grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her, her extended family, and numerous friends.
