Dorothy Bradley was born on November 10,1952 in Blytheville, Arkansas she was the youngest
of 3 children to Hugh & Virginia Bradley.
For over 25 years she was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California
and after relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada she became a devoted member of Victory Baptist
Church where she was very active in Prison Ministry.
Dorothy attended school in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Manual Arts HS and
attended several trade schools in her profession as an Escrow Officer.
She ls survived by her daughter Dena Nero (Ovion Sr. ) three grandchildren LaDana Porter
(Jason), Dionna, Ovion Porter Jr., sister Lucille Everett-Braden, niece and nephew Grizelda and
Russell Miller whom she helped to raise.
Dorothy lost her mother at the age of 4 and was raised by her aunt and uncle Carrie and Tommy
Cannon until she was 14 years old. From that union she was fortunate enough to get a second
family of siblings Mary Williams (Tommie), Amos, Jerry, Elnora & Brenda Cannon and she still
maintained a special bond with all of them. The whole family migrated to Los Angeles in1961,
Dorothy’s father later moved to Los Angles where he purchased a home for his children and all
the family gathered there to spend quality time. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews
Adrian Taylor(Melvin), Donnie and Dorian Knauls, Delretha, Raquel, and DeShawn Bradley,
Tamika Teague and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Dorothy made her transition on March 2, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Virginia Bradley and brother Delton.
Dorothy’s love of family was amazing, she dearly loved daughter Dena and her grandchildren
they meant the world to her they were the light of her life!
Everyone who knew Dorothy always talks about her radiant smile which captivated us all. She
was extremely patient, caring, a very good listener she would never rush you when you called her
only if she had an appointment would she end the call. She had a way of making you feel
special whenever you were in her presence. She loved to travel; she and sister Lucille, close
friend Karla Cameron were always planning their next destination. Dorothy had an host of friends
that she maintained contact with. Dorothy was a diligent and extremely hard worker and her
work ethics earned her many accolades and promotions. She worked for over 30 years in
California in the Escrow & Title Insurance field prior to relocating to Las Vegas, NV where she
and Karla Cameron started their own ReMax Real Estate Agency. Her later years she became a
Mobile Notary where she was in great demand for her services.
Dorothy loved her family, loved her friends and she loved life! She will always be remembered for
that million dollar smile that would light up the room!
