Doris M. Lett

Doris was born July 27, 1923 in Great Falls, Montana. She was the daughter of John W Trunkle Sr. & Emma M. Trunkle. Doris had one brother, John W. Trunkle Jr (deceased). Doris married her husband Howard L. Lett on July 3, 1943 in Great Falls Montana. Doris was the loving mother of 6 children: Sheila Lillis, John Lett, Michael Lett (deceased), Ron Lett, Laura Tobin (Lett), and Robin Lett.

Doris and Howard moved down to Las Vegas in April of 1961. Doris was a bookkeeper for Pacific Bookkeeping for 35 years. She and Howard also built a house up in Elko, NV where they enjoyed going on vacation. You would often see Doris traveling, camping, going to baseball games, concerts, catching up with family and she enjoyed fishing, an activity she loved and often did.

More than traveling and fishing Doris loved her family. If there was one thing Doris loved more than her children it was her 9 grandchildren, Lance Lillis, Gregory Lillis, Vanessa Lett, Nichole Lett, Michael Lett, Monica Lett, Lathan Lett, Jillian Tobin, Jaylene Tobin, her 7 great grandchildren Justin Lillis, Briteny Lillis, Sean Lillis, Thomas Lillis, Tristan Lett, Hayden Lett, Adelynn Lett, and her 2 great great grandchildren Jesse Lillis and Joseph Lillis. She cherished the time that she got to spend with them and lit up when she was around them.

Doris has touched many lives of those around her. She was a kind person who made friends everywhere she went. Doris had a laugh and a smile that was contagious, and she could tell you stories for hours about growing up, her husband, family and her friends, also about her travels. Doris’s wisdom, kindness, humor and her memories will live on in the lives of her family.

Doris will be having a viewing at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 N Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101 on November 1, 2015 from 1pm to 3pm.

Funeral Services will be held at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 N Main St, Las Vegas NV 89101 on November 2, 2015 at 12pm with her burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery at 1pm.
