Doris S. Fazio of Las Vegas, Nevada, age 97, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020. She was the daughter of Sophie and Adolfo Barbera and was born on October 20, 1923 in Hawthorne, NJ. She is predeceased by her husband Edward Fazio. Married on October 9, 1949, they spent most of their married life in Haledon, NJ. After Edward’s passing, Doris moved to Mt. Arlington NJ with her daughter and son -in-law, Debra and Roger Williamson, and then to Las Vegas with them where she remained until her passing.
Doris was a wonderful Mother to Debra (Williamson) and Donna (Csutoros), and was always a joy to be around, with a positive attitude and a smile for everyone, living life to the fullest. She had a passion for dancing whether it be out for a night with her husband, or later in life in the senior communities she was part of in NJ and Las Vegas, dancing right up until October of this year. Doris looked forward to parties and getting together with her friends at Carefree Living and then at Oakmont of West Las Vegas, and was loved by everyone who came into her life.
Doris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debra and Roger Williamson of Nevada, as well as her daughter Donna Csutoros of Virginia. Doris is also survived by two grandchildren and their spouses, Sherry Ghobrial and her husband Joseph of Virginia as well as Steven Csutoros and his wife Elizabeth of Virginia. Doris had two step grandchildren, Alexandra Kiesewetter and her husband Chris of New York, as well as Annelies Williamson of Florida. Doris is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
A graveside interment will take place at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in NJ at a later date.
