Donna Jean McDonald

In loving Memory of Donna Jean McDonald, born in Iowa City, Iowa, June 16, 1938 to Georgia and Orville Mitchell. Donna passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2024.

Donna was raised in Iowa City and upon graduation worked in Surgery at the State University Hospital in Iowa City.

Donna followed her sister Mona to Las Vegas where she met her husband to be Robert “Bob” McDonald. Donna married Bob on July 7, 1967 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Las Vegas. Donna and Bob lived in Las Vegas and were married 57 years and raised their daughter Kelli. Donna loved being a Mom and Grandmother and watching the family grow and being involved in their activities as well as spending much of the summers at their home in Pine Valley, Utah.

In Donna’s younger years, she was an active tennis player as well as enjoying many crafts including making her famous Gold Leaf Books.

Donna and Bob had the opportunity to make memories and traveled to many foreign countries.

Donna was a beautiful and very kind lady and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and is survived by her Husband Bob, Loving daughter Kelli (Al) Wimmer, Grandson Taylor (Leslie) Wight, Granddaughter Ashley (Maxwell)

Di Lalla, Great Granddaughter Isabella Wight, Brother David Mitchell, Niece, Angela (Kenny) Howard, Great Nephew, Raven Howard.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Tuesday, October 15th, 4-7 p.m., Angel Park Golf Club., 100 South Rampart Blvd. Las Vegas, Nv.
