DONALD COFFIN Donald Lee Coffin, 75, of Las Vegas, passed away April 27, 2012. He was born Dec. 15, 1936 in Mahomet, Ill., and was a 16-year resident of Nevada. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an aerospace inspector. He was a caring and giving person who always put others before himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. Donald was married to his wife, Joyce, for 44 years. He made a career in the aerospace industry, and was employed for 24 years. Known as "Donnie" to his nine siblings, he lived his childhood in Mahomet, Ill. until he joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, and reached the rank of Seaman. He lived over 30 years in Southern California, where he met and married his wife, Joyce, in Los Angeles. He moved to Las Vegas in 1995 where he spent the rest of his years in the loving company of his family. He will dearly be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur David Coffin; his mother, Minnie Elizabeth (Haney) Coffin; his sister, Eunice; his brother, Carl; and his daughter, Jackie Guterman. He was survived by his wife, Joyce; his son, Christopher; his daughter, Jennifer; his sons-in-law, Jose and Larry; his grandchildren, Marco, Gabriel, Alina, Bianca, Rachel, Aron, and Hanna; his brothers, Glen, Ray, Merle, and David; and his sisters, Irene, Alma, and Delores. Chapel services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 4, at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. Graveside services following at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest.
