Donald Louis Denman, age 79, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and businessman passed away August 16, 2021. Don was born February 22, 1942 to Evelyn and Melvin Denman in Hildreth, Nebraska where his father farmed. The family then moved to Woonsocket, South Dakota where Don started school and lived with his three brothers and sister until his father’s death in 1948. Their mother then moved the family to Flora Vista, New Mexico hoping for a warmer climate. Don finished his schooling in Aztec, New Mexico graduating from high school in 1960. He then moved to Las Vegas in 1962 and went to work for Coca Cola Bottling on North Main. He met and married Connie Deman in 1968 and had a daughter Dawn. He started DL Denman Construction in 1983 and maintained the business until his death. His grading and paving business took him all over southern Nevada from Tonopah to Searchlight and through many housing sub-divisions and office parks. Always the entrepreneur, he branched out into other businesses including a gypsum mine, motel, and trucking. He loved the life he had created from his business to his family and friends. Throughout his life, he kept ties with friends he had made in Aztec and Las Vegas. He was known as a hardworking, fair, shrewd, generous and compassionate man. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. Don is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn and stepfather Carl Young of Las Vegas; brothers Bill Charters of Boise, Idaho and Jim Denman of Las Vegas. Don is survived by his daughter Dawn Rae Dieleman (Dave) grandson Trent Dieleman, granddaughter Jessica Dieleman, stepson Rusty Deman (Kelly) and their children Zack and Brooke of Las Vegas, sisters Diana Mead (John) and Kathy Kimbell of Grand Junction, Colorado and brother Gary Charters of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The viewing will take place Friday, September 10th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and services will be Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 am with Committal to follow at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery 7600 S.
