Donald Richard Ashley Sr., age 82, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Donald was born on February 13, 1937 in Michigan.

He joined the Clark County Fire Department at the young age of 18 and retired after 29 years of service as an Assistant Chief. He coordinated for the last 13 years the Retirees Luncheon.

Donald is survived by his wife Josephine (Jo); brother Robert (Colleen) Ashley; his children Tanya Elaine Carter, Karen “Abby” (Danny) Sanchez, Diane (Roy) Poff; grandchildren Cody, Kiara, Stephanie, Kayla, Nicole, Christopher, Samantha, Kenneth and Brandi and four nieces. He is preceded in death by his brother William Williamson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 10:00am -12:00pm with a funeral at 12:00pm; burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Fire Fighter's of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation.
