Dee was born on September 1, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY to Katie (nee Rothenberg) and George Lutz and has been a resident of southern Nevada since 1992. Dee was a graduate of Lafayette High School in Brooklyn and Brooklyn College. During her lifetime, she was a co-owner of a successful Carvel Ice Cream Bakery, an E11 for the Public Health System, and an insurance agent. She loved to travel and went on at least 40 cruises with her husband Rich, from Alaska to Peru, most of Europe, Israel, China, Japan, Australia, and traveled extensively across the United States. Dee is predeceased by her parents and survived by Richard “Rich” Bale, her beloved husband of almost 62 years; two daughters, Robin Michelin (John Wheeler) and Janice Adams (Thomas); three grandchildren, Jaime Michelin, Cassandra Michelin, and Daniel Michelin; and four great-grandchildren, Zane, Belle, Scarlett, and Banks. Funeral service services will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday November 11, 2020, at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV and burial will immediately follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery 7600 S. Eastern Ave. The family requests that memorial donations in Dee’s memory be sent to Nathan Adelson Hospice (nah.org). King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
