Denise M. Chopp

Denise M. Chopp, 56, a retired state employee, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 15, 2011. She was born May 24, 1955 in Albany, NY., and was a 32-year resident of Las Vegas. Denise was preceded in death by her father, John R. Tozier Sr. Denise is survived by her husband, of 16 years, Joseph Chopp; daughter, Melissa Gutbrodt of Las Vegas; mother, Dolores Tozier of Colchester; sister, Karen Van Zetten, of Colchester, Conn.; brothers, John R. Tozier Jr., of Ballston Spa, N.Y. and Neal Tozier, of Brattleboro, Vermont. Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Donations can be made to Nevada Cancer Institute or Burzynski Clinic in Houston. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.

Denise M. Chopp, 56, passed away on Sept. 15, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Dolores Tozier and the late John R. Tozier, Sr. Denise was born May 24, 1955 in Albany, NY and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1979. She worked for the State of Nevada and retired in 2010. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Joseph G. Chopp; her daughter Melissa A. Gutbrodt of Las Vegas; her brothers, John R. Tozier, Jr. of Ballston Spa, NY, Neal Tozier of Brattleboro, VT and her sister Karen Van Zetten of Colchester, CT; uncles, nephews, many cousins, and a niece. The family asks that all gifts and memorials be made as a donation to the Nevada Cancer Institute or the Burzynski Clinic in Houston, TX. Memorial services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on September 22, 2011 at 3:30pm, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89128.
