Deloris Constance Knox

Deloris Constance Morris Knox was born on July 8, 1940 at 1448 North Court Street in Montgomery, Alabama, to parents Willie and Sallie Scott Morris. When she was four, her parents moved to Montgomery, West Virginia, where they resided for the next 13 years. Deloris received all of her education in West Virginia, graduating from East Bank High School and West Virginia State College. After college, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she lived for the next 25 years. In 1977, she married Morgan Knox and in 1987, they relocated to Fairfield, California. Morgan made his transition the following year. Deloris was active in many organizations but her love was for her church, Unity, and her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, and it was to these organizations that she devoted the majority of her time.
