Deborah was born in New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, to Pearl Logan and Thomas Tippins on January 25, 1949. She attended Longwood High School in Middle Island, NY and then went on to work as a fit and fashion model in the Garment District of New York, later gracing the pages of numerous magazines and billboards. Deborah worked for many years as a personal assistant for The Shubert Foundation of Broadway, before relocating to Las Vegas, where she worked as a personal assistant for COX Communications.
Deborah was a beautiful and vibrant woman, with a huge personality and a sense of humor to match. She laughed loudly and unreservedly, and wielded sarcasm with supreme skill. A natural care-taker, Deborah spent her life trying to help others, and was a vocal supporter and activist for animal rights, progressive political causes, and the protection of the vulnerable. She was also a voracious reader, and an appreciator of sculpture, fine arts and architecture. Deborah was a big fan of superhero shows and movies, who loved music, dancing, travel and the company of her friends and family.
Deborah is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Tippins; her mother, Pearl Logan Tippins; her sister Saundra Barnes; her uncle, Donald Logan; her aunt, Gloria Logan, and her step-father, Manny Hines.
