Deanna was better known to most people as Pumbe. Pumbe was born and raised here
in Las Vegas by her two loving parents Mussie and Almaz. She had one brother Mussie,
and three sisters Yolanda, Lisa, and Mia.
Pumbe graduated from Rancho High school where she studied biotechnology. She then
spent most of her college years studying biology and nursing at Idaho State University.
She had hopes and aspirations of becoming a nurse since she was just a little girl and
she was just shy of reaching her goal. She always played sports like cheerleading,
basketball, track, and cross country. Pumbe loved running and spending a lot of time
outdoors.
Pumbe also loved music. She listened to all types of genres and was known for
memorizing the lyrics to almost every song she knew. Pumbe played the violin in middle
school and once she mastered that, she went on to play the cello in high school.
Pumbe was a light and a gift to all of those that she has ever crossed paths with. She
had a smile that could brighten an entire room and a laugh that was so contagious. She
always found laughter in the smallest things. Pumbe was always dependable and there
for all of her friends and family.
Pumbe leaves behind her parents Mussie and Almaz, her sisters Yolanda, Lisa, and
Mia, her grandmother Ghenet, and a countless amount of cousins, aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews, and friends. Her life was cut far too short, but her memory will live on
forever through all of her friends and family. We love you Pumbe. May our beautiful
Angel Rest In Peace.
