Earl Dean Williams, 89, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side, Sunday, May 22, 2011. He was born in High Point, Mo., Jan. 9, 1922, to Reverend Norman E. and Ruth Medlen Williams. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942, where he was a member of the 63rd Infantry "Blood and Fire" Division and served in Panama for two years. In 1944, he married Isabelle Hees, six months before being shipped off to Germany. After his return from World War II, the family lived in Albuquerque, N.M., and Reno, before settling in Las Vegas in 1962. He was a sales manager for Sproul Homes in the Las Vegas area for several years before he retired for health reasons. He was a beloved husband for 67 years to Isabelle and loving father of three children, Deanne Williams Kelly and Roger Williams, both deceased and David Williams of Las Vegas. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bob Morrow of Eldon, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Linda Williams; grandchildren, Crystal Webb (James) and Kara McDaniel (John); and great-grandchildren, Karina Boyd (Ben), Chrissy, Thomas, Berlyn, Tierra, Brendan, Stephanie, Marissa Webb and Jacob and Kaitlin McDaniel. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 27. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday May 28, both are at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
