David Wheeler, 76, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sept. 23rd at 2:30 am after a tough battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 5th 1940 in McEwen, Tenn. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17. After his discharge from the military he remained on the west coast from California to Arizona to Las Vegas where he resided for the past 23 years. He had become known as the California boy to the small, quaint McEwen town. He touched so many people’s lives and never met a stranger. He was the type of man when people came to the house they would instantly become part of the Wheeler family. David would be there for anybody good, bad or ugly. He's always been known as the man with the most genuine, contagious smile. He is more than just an idol, he is a hero. He will be terribly missed by everyone! David is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Darleen Wheeler, 11 children; Johnny, Kevin, Mark (deceased), Jimmy, Patricia, Michael, Anthony, Mary, Manda, David and Jane, 19 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren (1 deceased), 3 Sister's, Shirley, Linda and Osta, 3 deceased Brother's, Sye, Elvis and Billy. A celebration of David's life will be held @ Palm Mortuary 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV.; Tuesday Sept 27th from 7pm-8pm. Casual attire.
