David was born on September 23, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to David John Jr., (d. 1975) and Rita Catherine (d. 2012), and grew up alongside his devoted brother, John Albert. He peacefully departed this world on January 1, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by the love of his family.
David left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual, long known for his reputation in the pool building industry as a concrete construction foreman. His steadfast and consistent work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and the deep admiration of those fortunate enough to work alongside him.
David is survived by his three children: Kathleen Louise, Kristina Marie, and David John IV. He is also remembered as a loyal, kind, and fiercely loving father-in-law to Sean Francis, Julie Amelia, and the late Wendell Rodriguez. He was not just a father but a source of guidance, inspiration, and unwavering support to his children. His legacy lives on through the love and values he instilled in them.
The heart and soul of David’s world were his nine grandchildren and the time he spent as their “pop pop.” Ryan, Catherine, Alexander, Katlyn, Kelilyn, Nathan, Marlee, Braelynn, and Emery, as well as his many great-grandchildren, were a constant source of joy and laughter, bringing immense happiness to their grandfather’s life.
David is now reunited with his recently departed wife, Julia Ann, with whom he shared the precious last few years of his life in love and companionship.
Whether it be family or friends, David’s warmth and lighthearted nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us remember David for the love he gave, the laughter he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the memories he created. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched, and may he find eternal peace knowing he left such a significant impact on those who were lucky enough to know him.
A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held on January 15, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at Palm Northwest Mortuary & Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89131. His internment will follow the memorial service.
