David Moed, 79, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on October 9 in Henderson, NV, surrounded by his family. He had been fighting cancer for a few years, and his family was at peace knowing his suffering had come to an end.
David was born in Brooklyn to Louis and Susie Moed on December 24, 1943. He moved to Gainesville as a kid and later attended the University of Florida both for College and Law School, where he met his wife Barbara. They shared a beautiful and abundant life for almost 60 years.
David spent most of his life practicing law in Miami, FL. Once he retired, he pursued his passion for playing Bridge. He became a bridge director in Boca Raton, FL and was a Life Master ranked bridge player.
David traveled the world, lived life to the fullest and gave so much love to all those around him. He had a great sense of humor and his sarcasm will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children, Andrew and Michael, and his grandchildren, Sydney, Max, Chase, Lucas and Oliver.
The family will have a graveside service at 10:30 AM at King David Cemetery 2697 East Eldorado Lane Las Vegas, NV 89120. Rabbi Mel Hecht will be officiating the service.
