With the heaviest of heart I have to say goodbye to my loving Cousin  CHIP.  I have the fondest of memories from our life,  when we were all  so young  as children in Ohio and Pennsylvania , to our last visit at mom's last spring.  I can't believe I have to say goodbye.

Dan showed up early, on a cold winter morning to help me tape the fields for the inaugural wheelchair over the line tournament. After a couple hours we were nearly finished and looking forward to having a hot cup of coffee, when all of the sudden a gust of wind blew all of our perfectly placed duct tape down the road…

Dan was a caring man. He was always there for my family if we needed anything. My wife and children could talk to him about anything. 

He let me know when I did good or more importantly when I messed up. He just wanted me to the best possible person for my family. 

He was funny - see the picture I uploaded of us. His sense of humor was sensational. 

He changed so many lives for the better, because he genuinely cared about almost everyone. He worked tirelessly traveling the country for the PVA. What guts he had- all that work from his powerwheelchair. He really did not know the meaning of the word can't. I do not know how much he inspired me I'm my professional and personal life. 

Dan - THANK YOU for sharing so much of yourself! THANK YOU for making the world better by being you.

Dan, as you walk around in heaven, please give me a "sign" when I mess up. Someone still has to watch over me-: LOL!

Dan was truly one of the last "good" men and can never be replaced!

Dan was a big influence in my life growing up. He was always the first one to tell you to get up when life knocked you down, and give you the hand to get back up. He has always been there for my family, through the good, bad and the ugly, and that’s what makes Dan more than just Dan. It makes him family. I’m so glad that my mom was able to make such a beautifully unique special bond with someone. Dan truly shaped our lives for the better, and everyday I’m grateful for it. Dan has done such good in this world beyond just my family and I, so I know he is at peace. That’s something we all can thank Dan for, bringing a little bit of peace to our chaotic lives. It’s never goodbye, it’s see you next time. Thank you, and love you Dan. 

I cannot explain the joy and happiness Dan brought to my family, and my own life. Dan was personable, humorous, and encouraging. Dan wanted nothing but the best for everyone around him, and it’s something I appreciated the most. Dan will truly be missed, but certainly not forgotten. May you rest in peace.
