Dan Evert Carlson

Dan Evert Carlson, loving husband, father, and friend, passed away December 30, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born February 11, 1942, in Rockford, IL, and lived there until moving to Las Vegas in 1988. He is survived by his wife Margie, daughter Danna (Jennifer), sister Judy Oberg, a niece, and six nephews.

He furthered his education at Rockford College, Northern Illinois University, and Chicago College of Commerce.

Dan and his wife of 50 years worked together in court reporting. He loved to swim laps for an hour each day in his pool. He also enjoyed working out at the Las Vegas Athletic Club and socializing in their VIP room. He enjoyed Rebel basketball, USC football, and the Raiders. He was also a fan of Elvis and Southern Gospel music. Dan loved to use his timeshares to travel around the country. He was an active member of Faith Community Lutheran Church and enjoyed his Thursday morning sessions with their men's coffee group and Saturday Bible studies.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on January 22, 2024, at Faith Community Lutheran Church on 3505 S. Town Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135. Memorials can be made to Faith Community Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
