Dear Christine and Michael James Ditto, I was recently visiting O'ahua during new year' s eve, I have been driving recently, up and down the highwaas while traveling  and along the way I find memorials on the side of the road, some simple, some old  and drab. I have been fascinated by the love and care family and friends take the time remember their loved ones by keeping her memorial alive. I am planning to write a book with on people who have passed away on the "The Highway to Heaven" it's a tribute to to those who have lost a family member and how they never forget by erecting a momument. Jim,Christy, I had the priveledge of getting to meet you finally in Vegas at the funeral of your daughter.  I am Rosalind falcone and am Jimmy morris' longtime girlfriend.  I  saw that so many people had so many awesome funny memories of such a beautiful girl.  I know that John Morris shared in so many of the good memories that you all have shared together.  No one knows or can barely imagine what it is like to experience what you have lost.  I have been told that time heals however, I dont think that time can heal this kind of a loss but I do know for a fact that time does allow us to be better able to cope with this tragedy.  I would love the day to finally fly out to hawaii with Jim, John, and Jaime to share some special time together. I would love that more than anything. Stay Strong always. i only knew Courtney for a couple months but during that time she came to be one of my best friend. i met Ditto when she started working at sears and we just clicked. she was so clumsy, funny and outgoing, who couldnt love her!?! she would come over almost every day with her boyfriend Micah and she would tell me what the plan for the day was. my son loved courteny so much, he would light up as soon as he herd her voice.  i will never forget all the good times we had and her one of a kind laugh . when she would laugh, i couldnt stop laughing and my face would become so sore. i will always remember Courtney and im so glad that she was a part of my life. "Love you Ditto, miss you so much!!!"

Courtney I will always remember your beautiful eyes. Its like they told stories when you looked deep into them.  Now that your gone, you took a peice of my heart and left your memories and spirit behind. I will always have love for you. <3 Ali

I was thinking about saying something at Courtney's service and the first question that came to mind was, "What can I say so that the service is more a celebration of Courtney's life" I came to the conclusion that words seem so weak compared to the suffering of loosing Courtney.  At a time like this how could I make someone feel better or soothe my own pain?  Some comfort came to me when I thought of the time we had Courtney.  I thought what if we never had Courtney at all?  I know we don't understand why we could lose someone so young and special.  We carry the hope that there is a master plan for us and that God is in charge.  It seems hard to accept God's will at a time when the pain is so great.  We need to believe in these ideas to have hope.  Have the will to continue on through the pain and suffering.  To pick up the pieces after someone has been so suddenly taken from us.  

Courtney had a wonderful way of brightening up a room.  She always had something cute and funny to say.  She had a touch of sarcasm in her comediic personality.  She brought joy to the people she met and brought excitement to the table.  She carried herself with fun in her eyes and love in her heart.  She would listen and talk at the same time as her mom and often do.  She was a klutz and could laugh at herself.  She takes a piece of each and everyone of us with her and she leaves her spirit with us.  We must carry her spice for life with us and remember that she out lived us all.

The second night after I heard about the accident with Courtney I woke up knowing I had a dream with Courtney in it.  Although I can't remember the dream I woke with her presence it was quite comforting.  Although her physical body isn't going to be here anymore I know that she will be visiting us all in our dreams.  May we all have them nightly. 

As most of us are parents we know the worries that we have for our children.  We know the fears of what might happen.  We wonder if we are good parents.  We fear the worst and revel in the best.  The hard truth of today has come.  A parent's worst fear has become a reality.  We can only imagine what they are going through.  Parenting isn't easy, do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that.  As Justin grows I know he will start his new life with whatever he wants to do.  I will have to let him go and make his own way.  As Jim and Christy will have to find the courage and strength to let Courtney go and be with Go.  I pray Kristen and I can be as good of parents to my boy as I have witnessed from my sister and brother-in-law to their kids.  Jim and Christy have two beautiful daughters and are working on a mess of grand kids.  I pray they can find the strength to see how blessed they are through the adversity that they carry now.

I wonder if God is like me, I have always wanted the best of everything and I want it now.  I think that he just couldn't wait to have Courtney with him.  I can only imagine how excited he must be to have her.  After all she is the best of everything.  I'm sure that Courtney will keep Him busy.  I hope he has a mop, dust pan, and plenty of paper towels. 

I heard talk about Mother's Day and the service on the same day.  I tried to think of some things that might be comforting for my sister.  I figure this day would be set aside for her to spend wth her daughters just like before.  If you all close your eyes you can all picture Courtney.  She isn't really gone if she is in our thoughts and our memories.  It might be a time to miss her more, think about her more, share some time together more, love each other more and be there for one another more.  Isn't that what we all should be doing more?

As I read back what I wrote I think that we should do both celebrate Courtney's life and have some consoling words.  Courtney would want it that way.
