Consolacion "Cindy" Arnold, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away on March 6, 2014 at the Gentiva Hospice in Las Vegas after struggling with complications arising from a stroke. She was born June 5, 1939, in the Philippines to Francisco and Lucia Melchor, the third of five children. She married Hilario Torred, also of the Philippines, and they had four children, Elizabeth, Edwin, Edgar, and Esther. Cindy graduated from High School and attended Secretarial Vocational school in the Philippines. After moving to the United States in 1981, she became a seamstress, a profession she excelled at until she could no longer work. Cindy enjoyed creating dresses, especially wedding gowns, participating in her Christian Church community, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her four children; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy in her later years.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 14 from 3:00 - 7:00pm and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 3:00pm, both at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
