Clyde R. Adams was born in Luling, Texas on April 5, 1927 to the late Charles Henry and Shellie Adams. Clyde was married to Vesta Lee on September 22, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. Clyde and Vesta were happily united in holy matrimony for sixty-five (65) years. To this sacred union, three beautiful daughters were born: Harriett, Claudia, and Debra. In 1990, Clyde and Vesta relocated from Compton, California to Las Vegas, Nevada. After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, they united with the Second Baptist Church family. Clyde accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age in the state of Texas. He was an avid sports fan. Even though he loved all sports, his all time favorite sport was baseball. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers! During his high school years he actively participated on the basketball team. Clyde graduated from Roosevelt High School. Clyde had an incredible work ethic. He served as a Switchman for the Southern Pacific Railroad for forty-two (42) years. Clyde was a gentle giant, actively serving with the Brotherhood of the Second Baptist Church. He brought a warm smile to everyone that he met. He was kind, lovable, and had a fantastic sense of humor. He loved family gatherings, traveling and attending all of his church events. Clyde leaves to celebrate his home going three loving daughters; Harriet Kelley (Ray) of North Hills, California; Claudia Lovett of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Debra McQueen (Steve) of Alta Loma, California; Five Grandchildren: Erika Lovett-Holly, Brien Kelley (Jazsmin), Craig Kelley (Kamesha), LaToyya McQueen and Kellie Smith (Marvel). Nine Great Grandchildren: Jazmyne, Joshua, Brittnee, Kingston, Donovan, Kassidee, Christian, Kashious, and Cameron; One brother, Robert Adams, San Antonio, Texas; Clyde leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives, friends and his Second Baptist Church Family.
