Clara Jean Childers

Clara Jean (“Jean”) Childers, 83, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in Las Vegas Nevada. A retired Homemaker, Business woman, Real estate Agent and Developer from Chicago, Illinois by way of Edwards Mississippi. She and her husband of 42 years relocated to Las Vegas in May of 1979 to begin their busy retirement continuing to design and develop properties.

Born October 29th, 1933 in Edwards Mississippi, to Claude Herman Austin and Inez Warren Austin, Jean was the youngest of 3 children, all now deceased. She married Kenneth H. Childers (deceased) on March 18th, 1955. Their joyful union produced three children, Christopher Phillip Childers of El Paso, Texas, Gary Cordell Childers of Waldorf, Maryland and Evan Austin Childers of North Las Vegas all originally from Chicago, Illinois.

Jean greatly enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and numerous friends.

She is survived by her children, Chris, Gary and Evan Childers, grandchildren Christian C. Childers, Ryun A. Childers both of Las Vegas NV, Michael C. K. Childers, Ellis S. Childers of Waldorf MD, Evan L. Childers, Jesse A. Childers, nephew David B. Austin and great- grandchild Cameron K. Childers of Las Vegas, NV.
