Christy Lynn Hill

Christy Lynn Hill, 46, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014. She was born February 4, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan and was a 24 year resident of Las Vegas. Christy was an Elementary School teacher for both Clark and Nye counties, as well as private Christian schools in Las Vegas. Upon graduating from Ladywood High School (Livonia, MI) in 1986, Christy served in the United States Air Force and worked as a paralegal for the JAG in San Antonio. After serving in the USAF, Christy moved to Las Vegas and completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees and became a school teacher. Christy’s passion was helping and inspiring others, especially children, and she was instrumental in so many lives. Christy is survived by her husband, David, daughter Kellie, son Adam, and parents George and Susan Jones, all of Las Vegas. Visitation will be 12-4pm, with a Memorial Service at 4pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014 both at Palm Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue in Las Vegas, NV 89129. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christy’s memory may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas.
