Charles "Charlie" Saunders, 61, of Las Vegas, passed away March 6, 2012, with his wife by his side. He was born Aug. 24, 1950, in Houston. In his early career, Charlie worked for Western Electric in Houston. He also worked as a blackjack dealer at the California Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for 22 years. He was a skilled mechanic and his hobby was restoring classic cars. He is survived by wife, Mary Jane; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rick Soto; two granddaughters, Sterling and Trevi; and mother, Lillie Saunders, all of Houston; two brothers; two sisters; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas. Refreshments will be available 2:30-6:30 p.m. at Main Street Station Casino, 200 N.
