Catharinah Gunawan

Catherine Priscilla Gunawan, age 46, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born on October 7, 1969 in Jakarta, Indonesia, to Karlinah Surjadi and Sugiono Imin. Catherine grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. At the age of 20, she moved to Seattle, Washington, and Los Angeles, California where she earned a degree from “The Art Institute of Seattle” majoring in Fashion marketing in 1991 and the “Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising” majoring in Fashion design in 1993. In 2006, she resided in Edmonds, Washington, and then moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2013. Catherine was avid to stand up against cancer. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Catherine had a huge heart and a passion for helping others. No words could explain how amazing of a person she was. She was an extremely loving mother and a true loving wife, always putting others needs before her own. She sacrificed countless things for her family and friends. She genuinely cared and it showed through her actions. Catherine has touched many lives with her selflessness and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will remain forever in our hearts. She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Gunawan; two beautiful daughters, Charisma, and Chloe; her brother, Andry; and her sister Yuliana.
