Cassie K Lee

Cassie Kazue Leinaala Lee, formerly of Maui, passed away in Las Vegas on November 24, 2022 at the Summerlin Hospital Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born on September 13, 1988 at the Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Cassie is survived by her best friend, Derek Darisay; mother,Trudy lee; sister, Brandy Lee; half-brothers, Lloyd Lee, Jr. (Kanani) and Kevin Lee, Sr.; and half-sisters,Tanya Lee and Michelle Lee.. Cassie is also survived by her grandfather. Masao Motooka. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Lee, Sr.

Cassie attended Kahului Elementary, Maui Waena Intermediate, Kamehameha Kapalama Middle School, Maui High, Baldwin, and the University of Georgia. At the age of 19, Cassie was offered and accepted a job as a manager for Pacific Wings in Athens, Georgia. While being employed at Pacific Wings, Cassie earned an Associate's degree in business from the University of Georgia. Cassie also adopted a dog, which she named Maui She loved and adored that dog more than anything in her life. After Pacific Wings was sold, Cassie, Derek, and Maui moved to Las Vegas. Cassie worked as a crew scheduler supervisor at Allegiant Airlines and her wonderful co-workers became like family to her.

Cassie and Derek spent their vacations traveling to new places and visiting amusement parks. They also enjoyed playing poker at casinos, as well as camping, fishing, and barbequing at the lakes and beaches. Cassie also spent time with her nephew, Nainoa, and niece, Aviani, whom she adored immensely.

A memorial service will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului, Maui on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. As per Cassie's wish, her ashes will be scattered at a later date in Hana, Maui where she spent a lot of her early childhood years with her grandparents, Masao and Violet Motooka.
