Cary Frisch, 57, long time resident of Hesperia, CA, passed away on October 26, 2022 at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center after a bravely fought battle against a rare aggressive form of lymphoma.
He was born December 8, 1964 in Lancaster, California to Louis and Mildred Frisch.
Cary grew up in the small town of Rosamond, CA. It was there, that he attended elementary and high school, graduating in 1983. A few years after graduating, he went to work for Rockwell International at USAF Plant 42 in Palmdale, CA. He was a key member of the B1-B aircraft body structural mechanic team, performing fabrication of aircraft assemblies. He was very proud of the fact that he was a critical team member of the B1-B Aircraft Structural Team winning numerous Crew of the Month awards. After he left Rockwell, he went to work at The Woodpecker custom cabinet shop. Cary enjoyed building things and working with his hands, so the cabinet shop was very satisfying for him. He then changed careers and moved into the trucking industry. He worked as both a short and long-haul trucker for many years. His time as a long haul trucker, allowed him to see much of the Western US.
When Cary was younger, he loved camping at Kelly’s Hole at the Kern River with his friends and family. He was a true Steelers fan, as were his siblings. After all, his dad did grow up in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed NHRA Drag Racing. Cary loved all types of music. He would listen to music all day and night and attended many concerts over the years. His favorite band was Journey.
He is survived by his two sons, Brian and Christopher Arlington-Frisch; a stepson, Nick Beals; a stepdaughter, Krystle Hay; two granddaughters, Alivia and Briella Hay, a sister, Jackie Ostlund (Steve Weed); two brothers, Tony Frisch (Diana Baez) and Alan Frisch (Lisa Tam); a nephew, Justin Ostlund (Nancy Ostlund) and their two sons, Brandon and Cody; a niece, Ashley Frisch; and former spouse, Dawn Arlington-Frisch.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are being handled by Palm Mortuary – Downtown Las Vegas. Per Cary’s request, no memorial service will be held. His ashes will be spread at his favorite camping spot, by his immediate family.
