Carolyn (Not Caroline) Kehl of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sunday April 6, 2025 at age 94. She was born on December 5, 1930 in rural Mount Carroll, Illinois to Harry and Anna Albrecht Kehl. She met Gerald W. Anderson in Chicago, they were married and had four children.
During her working career she obtained a Real Estate Broker’s License, sold real estate in California, and was a real estate loan officer. She was the Executive Assistant to the Director of a non-profit which provided services for homeless and abused women, their children and family pets. She interacted with the volunteer members of the Board of Trustees of the facility. Completing a lifetime goal for a college degree, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from The University of Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Melvin, Maynard, John and Delmar, and ex-husband G. W. Anderson. She leaves behind two daughters, Terry Anderson Felix of Henderson, NV, Lonnie Anderson (Fukuda) of Ojai, CA, two sons Robert Anderson (Thaworn) of Long Beach, CA, and James Anderson (Linda) of Seaside, OR, three granddaughters Abigail Anderson, Brianna Felix, Sabrina Anderson, and one grandson Alexander Fukuda, sister Mary Kehl Clouser and numerous nieces and nephews..
Honoring Carolyn’s request, there will be no formal funeral. She has said, “I have been away from my country home a long time. It’s time to go home.” Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carroll, IL.
