Carol Hansen Garside

Carol Hansen Garside, age 77, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. Carol was born June 12, 1944, in St. George, UT, to parents William & Arvilla Hansen. She was raised in St. George, UT, where she graduated from Dixie High School. Carol married Michael Garside on October 18, 1963, in the St. George Utah LDS Temple. Carol resided in Las Vegas for 55 years where she and Mike raised their family. She enjoyed her role as a mother and grandmother and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in their many activities. Carol’s passions were making her own porcelain dolls, sewing and crafts, baking and shopping. She lived for planning family vacations to the lake, Mexico and the sand dunes. Mike and Carol traveled the world together. Carol loved serving in the young women programs in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was a guiding influence in the lives of many young women.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Michael Garside. She is survived by her loving children Brad (JoAnn) Garside, David Garside, Marni Victoria and Rebecca (Joshua) Mendenhall, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Scott (Valorie) Hansen and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Carol will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1801 S. Monte Cristo Way, Las Vegas, NV 89117 with funeral services following at 10:00 AM. The burial will be at 4:00 PM at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah.
