Carl E. Blakeman, 76, of Henderson, passed away March 11, 2012. He was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, and was a resident of Nevada since 1997. Carl was a retired aircraft mechanic from McDonald Douglas and the inventor of Blakeman Billiard Glove. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Delbert. Carl is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Betty (Varoz) Blakeman; sons, Pat and Steve Blakeman; daughter, Karen (Tim); grandsons, Kyle, Joey and Dalton; granddaughter, Melissa; and brother, Leroy Blakeman. Memorial services will be at noon Friday, March 16, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
