I am thinking of you today on the 4th anniversary of your death.  Today is not only the anniversary of your death but also the 12th day of Christmas.  As I am getting ready to put away the Christmas decorations, I remember how much you loved Christmas.  How you would jump around when you opened something that you really wanted.   The way the wrapping paper would be almost shredded as you opened your presents.   Those  are good memories.  Miss you,

I can't believe that it has been two years since you left us.  How things have changed since you have been gone.  You would love the videos that Dad is taking of the ocean and all of the creatures in it.  Rest in Peace, Caleb.

Happy Birthday, Caleb.  You would have been 29 years old today.  What a party you would have had today before the big 3 O.

It has been one year since your death.  Life moves on but we miss and think of you especially during things that you loved.  We went to Not So Scary in Disney World this year and we remembered how much you loved Not So Scary.  We also remembered the time the air lines lost your costume and your Dad went back for it so that you could be Darth Vader that year.  We also went to the newest Star Wars movie, Star Wars The Last Jedi.  How you would have loved that as well.  Rest in Peace, Caleb!

Happy Birthday, Caleb.  We are thinking of you today - Flag Day.  We found out that today is also Donald Trump's birthday.  I wonder what you would think about that?  I can hear you laughing.  We miss you.

We have been thinking of you a lot lately -- May the Fourth Be With You since you were such a huge Star Wars fan and then on May 11th that is your Gotcha Day.  I remember your Gotcha Day well.  We went to court to adopt you, I left my purse in the courthouse and you cried the whole time during our family pictures.  We celebrated every year on your Gotcha Day and we will be thinking of you again this year.

It has taken me three months to find the words to say. I still cannot believe you are gone. My baby brother. I will miss you. Every day I think about you and all your silly antics. I never thought I wouldn't get to say goodbye. You were a great person and brought smiles to everyone around you. Rest In Peace, and watch over us. See you again.

Caleb, you were born on flag day, died on Three Kings' Day, and joined the 27 club. You had your funeral on Friday the 13th and it rained. You were my puppy, my goofy, and my baby. I was your prince, your babe, and your daddy. You were fiery, outspoken, you were free. I loved you for your innocence, your joy, and your wide-eyed wonder of the world. Everything was easy with you, we just clicked. Even when we differed, we quickly moved forward, and just loved each other. You always wanted to be my king, and I resisted. You were my baby boy, and I thought I should be the king. You got your wish now, though, babe - because you will always be the king of my heart.

Random Thoughts
How many times have I opened an email from Caleb in the morning entitled "Random Thoughts".  I am going to miss those random thought emails but I happen to have a random thought of my own.  Caleb was a collector by nature.  From a very early age, Caleb would  collect all kinds of treasures.  When he was little, it was something simple as straight pins from the dressing room floor, the string from the dog food bag, pennies found while crossing the parking lot, pebbles in the park or Mylar Mickey ears from the Disney parade.  Whatever was on the floor or ground, he would pick it up.  As he got a little older, it was cars, dinosaurs, whales, Mary Pope Osbourne books, castle and pirate ship Lego sets.  As the years went by, Star War figures abound including his Millennium Falcon and Death Star hanging from his bedroom ceiling and the Star War posters on the wall, the master keys to all the lockers of the junior high, saxophone sheet music when he played the trombone and all kinds of CDs from Queen to Enya to Genesis.  As I reflect on the events of the last several days, Caleb has collected something much more treasured than any of those items, his collection of friends.  It was very evident from the celebration of life and the reception that his collection was exquisite.  "His Majesty" was a very rich king indeed but not from monetary items that he had collected previously but from his friendships.  Well done, Caleb, for all of your riches and thank you to all the friends that loved and supported him.

We were so sad to see the news of Caleb.  Craig, Zack, Austin, Lindsey and I have great memories of Cub Scouts and school with with Caleb.  Even after camping with the Pursley family and seeing us at our best, they still called us "Friend"!

Caleb, even though we known each other for a short time, every moment we spent was always extraordinary. I felt that I was getting really close to both you and Sean that I was able to open up to you both. Oh, Caleb. What have you gone and done now? How are we supposed to get along without His Majesty? Your crazy antics, your positive energy, your endless ideas....you always had a plan for how our night would go. Not that it ever worked out that way! By the time we'd start the decided upon movie, we'd all be falling asleep- to be continued...again. I'll miss the chatter, the giggles, the evenings of iPhone vs Android, show and tell when we got something new, planning dinner with what we each had in our kitchens before I got there, talking about our loves, jumping in the pool, watching the weather, picking on each other, haphazardly tossing out rap lyrics, squeezy hugs, and, well...you.  It's not fair. This sucks. I hate this. I miss you. I'll always love you. Until we see each other again- Goodnight. ---Your Grace---

We are so sad to hear this news. Caleb, you were a one of a kind dude and will always hold a place in our hearts. I am so sorry we cannot come pay our respects. Everyone is in my prayers.

You will be missed dearly. I am so glad that I had the chance to know you. I am thankful that Sean had such a  wonderful person to share life with. I know that you will always be in our thoughts and the memories of you will keep us all going. Rest in peace.

Although I knew Caleb for a short time, he was always respectful and worked hard for me on a few projects. I sit across from Kevin and get to hear all the stories about Caleb. The good and some bad stories but, I feel like I knew Caleb even though we did not spend a lot of time together. I will miss Caleb and the wonderful stories told by his dad. Rest in Peace

I hope you will wait for me so that we can spend eternity together watching fireworks, swimming, and having adventures in an endless summer, my July flame. I will never be the same without you.
