Philip C. "Bud" Kennedy, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010. He was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Salt Lake City, and was an 82-year resident of Nevada. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the founder and president of Turf Equipment Supply Company from 1964 until he retired in 1998. Bud was a member of the Jaycees and of numerous boat, airplane and classic car clubs in Arizona and Nevada. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Kennedy; sons, Philip Douglas (Gail) Kennedy of Richland, Ore., Larry E. (Diane) Kennedy of Las Vegas, and Stephen F. (Hiroko) Pinto of Torrence, Calif.; daughters, Tina (Jack) Kennedy-Romeo and Jane E. Pinto, both of Las Vegas; brother, F. John (Betty) Kennedy of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, with services immediately following, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
