Mr.Billy and I were gonna change the world, right from the kitchen table!  I will forever be grateful to Mr.Billy and Ms. Sue for opening their home to me and welcoming me with open arms. It was a pleasure and a privilege.

Every time I hear the song “Mansions Over the Hilltop,” it will make me think of Billy. That was his favorite song to lead. I can still hear him leading prayers and how he would start them out the same every time. While I was not part of his physical family, he was my spiritual brother for many, many years.  Billy was an excellent example of what a Christian should be, strong in the faith, caring, kind, respectful, and dedicated, his love for God, his family, and others being clearly evident in how he interacted with them. He spent many years coordinating teachers for classes and taking attendance at services and was one of the people you knew would be there at every service if at all possible. It was a blessing to have his exemplary presence in my life. Billy’s gentle spirit and smiling face will be greatly missed.  
To Billy’s beloved family, please know that your loss is our loss, your pain is our pain, your tears are our tears. Our hearts ache for you. But your comfort is our comfort, knowing we will one day see him and our other loved ones again and there is no better place for him to be than in the hands of our loving God. 

You will be missed….
I will always remember the conversations we had in the early morning hours, reading the newspaper and eating Mrs. Hale’s breakfast.  Discussing everything from current events, politics, and family.  There are so many positive things I will remember from our interactions, including taking me to my first car show, my first town hall meeting and reminding me that family is one the most important things in life.  We didn’t have time to fix the world at the kitchen table, but I believe you are making changes from above.  You will forever be in my thoughts. 



Such a sweet and kind soul!  He always was so welcoming of Ron and I at many of those “Hale” family gatherings, truly made Ron and I feel like family!  Keep smiling Billy ❤️  Our love, Ron & Lorry 

When my family moved to Las Vegas in 1984 we soon began attending church with them. Over the next five years I spent many a memorable time with their family . Since our family lived away they kinda took us in. Wonderful memories and folks that still mean much to Rita and I. Billy encouraged me to preached, which I started to do in Las Vegas and continued for next 37 years until I retired from full time preaching in June 2021. Our hearts go out to Sue and their kids, Barry, Randy, Sandy, and Joye. I’m leaving for my 12th trip to preach in Philippines in about 10 days. Sorry we can’t attend the service on Friday. Our thoughts and hearts will be with you on Friday. May God comfort you in only ways He can. 

We first met Billy Hale and Sue when we found an apartment in Las Vegas...they turned out to be the managers.  That was 59 years ago.  We enjoyed many nights of canasta and company on Friday nights.  Billy was the kind of friend that if you hadn't seen him for a while, you just picked right up visiting like it had been yesterday...always friendly, sweet smile on his face, a very special man.
