Bill T. Hidaka was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Medesto, Calif., to Yoso and Torao Hidaka. At age 10, he and his family were interned at the Amache, Colo. internment camp for three years. When the family was released, they relocated to Chicago. He attended Waller High School and Devry Institute in Chicago. Bill volunteered in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He moved to Las Vegas in 1987 to follow is passion for gambling. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 he suffered a massive coronary and died without suffering. He is survived by wife, Flora; children, Karen and Arnold; three grandchildren; his two brothers, Richard and George; and two sisters, Shizuko and Reiko. Services will he 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
