Betty L. Mount

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lydia Hanifee; her siblings, Anna Mae, William and Mary Hanifee, all from Maryland; and her children, Vicky Joyce Sanchez and Penelope Louise Dixon.

Betty is survived by her siblings, James, John “Jack” and Allan Hanifee, all of Maryland; and children, Wayne, William, Paulette Dixon of Maryland, and Robert Kenneth Dixon of Las Vegas.

Her surviving children of Don Clark Mount are Thomas Michael Mount and Lynda Michelle Mount Weaver (Joseph). She had seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great- great-grandson. Betty had two meaningful relationships with Leo Hickey of Pahrump and Harry White of Pahrump.

Betty had a big circle of loving friends and family in Maryland, Las Vegas, and Pahrump. She worked for 18 years as a waitress at Jerry’s Nugget where she was a favorite employee. Her wit, strength, and spirit will be with her loved ones forever.

Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, February 15, with a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101
