Bertha Mae Taylor

Bertha was born July 24, 1942 in Roanoke, VA to Ralph and Virginia{Hancock } Thaxton.

She attended Morristown College in the early 1960’s. Bertha married Attorney Clarence B Taylor on February 1, 1964. For most of her life, she worked in Business Brokerage Sales. Bertha was a member of High Street Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. She was a member of both the Barristers Wives, and Divas Golf Club. Bertha’s hobbies included cooking, golfing, and traveling, but she always put her family first. Bertha will be deeply missed by her husband, Clarence B Taylor; children Tonyah “River” (Elrod) Taylor-Floyd, Amatullah “Renate” Muhammad, and Clarence (Anne Vibe) Taylor Jr.; grandchildren Fatimah (Jason), Sadar, Tadar, Victoria, and Josephine; great-grandchild Apollo; brother Ralph (Caroline) Thaxton Jr.; and sister Elizabeth Ann Allen. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Ronald Thaxton

A visitation for Bertha will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Christian Embassy Worship Center, 1072 W Bartlett Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89106. A committal service will occur Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
