Thinking of you often...... Not just today, but always...Carol and Pumpkin

Our condolences to the family. Bernice Bernice Bernice, you shall be missed. Loved it when you would call us, and we would call you by your name and you would say how do you know its me?
How can you forget such a sweet voice. Last time I heard from you was when I was trying to help you with the local channels for you to watch the Sunday Mass. God Bless you and thank you for sharing your light with us. Enjoy the heavens. Till we meet again. 

My Grandchildren  and I was very close she would tell me Im like  a God daughter  to her.Everday We would have  ctoffee  I called her my Coffee  friend 🥰 she showed  me love and would  visit  tree times a day. She Enjoy  shopping  at Smith's  and  always  bought  Flowers. She loved  flowers  and would  tell her stories  of when she lived in  Compton  . She  would  talk about  the Catholic  School  she Attended.  She also  love  talking about  her late Husband, that she said she  Loved  so very much ❤ she left  Pictures  with me  in January  was  starting to go to the Hospital  a lot the ambulance   would  be called 3 to 4 times  a month  The Neighbors  was very concerned  about her.  She stop asking  for coffee  and   started  to ask for Coca cola.  I truly  miss her and all the  neighbors. We will never for get that Beautiful  Golden  Afro ...Rest in Peace   my friend .  Every time I  shop at Smith's,  and see the Flowers  That you enjoyed  buying . I will just smile and think of you,  My friend  Bernice. 

Hello mom.
Even though you did not birth me into this world, you were so much like a mom to me. I will NEVER forget the day we first met. I was in need of a dependable, caring, loving, compassionate, baby sitter for my 3 mo. old baby girl. Even though I interviewed other's, I knew you were the one. (and time proved that). God knew the desire of my heart, and the prayers from my mouth, for the right person. The very first day I put my baby (Davitta) in your arms, you fell in love with her. And that was 40 years ago.  And that Love always remained. Even though sometimes we didn't always agree on some things, like families do, our love never ceased. I always cared and loved you. You will be missed, but never forgotten "mom". 
Thank you Carrington family, for sharing her with me, and as she called her, "pumpkin". We love you.
So I'll say, " Good night mom, and never goodbye.

It is with sorrow that we must share this information about our very close friend  .We were neighbors sharing homes across the street from each other. Their 
children,  Mable and Joseph  were a part of our lives  as well.  After we moved,we maintained contact with her and her husband Ed. This was a once in a lifetime experience. I could continue especially of her way of showing unusual love for our children  Marlan and Andrea. Andrea has now passed but the memory of their special relationship will always be a part of  our lives. 
We pray for Mable, and all of the children

I don't remember the exact date that Bernice came into our lives. She started to attend Sunday Mass at St Anne Catholic Church. We met at the 12PM Sunday service. She joined the Extraordinary ministers and I learned that she was a transplant from Prince of Peace, where she was very active in different ministrys. She was fond of Fr. Timoney who had been transferred to St Anne.  She should have been a greeter. She was bright and welcoming, always cheerful and friendly with everyone. Such a smart dresser! I learned she was a seamtress. May you rest in Peace Bernice! Our sympathy to her family whom she loved!
