Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 31, 1935, he was a graduate of Watertown High School and Northeastern University where he earned a Liberal Arts Degree. Joining the ROTC while attending college, he entered the military after graduating. He served as an Army Officer and was a Vietnam Veteran. Berge later attained an MBA Degree from the University of Dallas. He was a senior executive with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, retiring after a 25-year career there.
Berge was a student of history, particularly American history, who enjoyed traveling, cooking and reading the latest spy novels. He had a nice sense of humor and an infectious laugh. The son of Armenian immigrants, he achieved the American Dream, and a life well and fully lived.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Janet; daughter Tania Ullrich of Pittsburgh, PA; son Kevin Krikorian of Littleton, CO; son Scott Krikorian (Julie) of Dallas, TX; daughter Christina Osborne (Dick) of League City, TX; step-son David Pepe (Karen) of Waxahachie, TX; step-daughter Linda Bode of Bridgewater, MA; six granddaughters and one grandson; and sisters-in-law Sharon Rondeau (Ray) and Linda Wakefield (Charlie) all of North Fort Myers, Florida.
A memorial service to be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida on Monday, October 18 at 10:30am.
