Barbara Jean Harris (nee Lurvey), 66, of Henderson, passed on to be with God Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Desert Springs Hospital. She was born April 6, 1944. in Waukesha, Wis., to LeRoy H. and Grace M. Lurvey. Barbara grew up in Delafield and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1962. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark M. Sabraw Aug. 9, 1965. For the last 17 years, Barbara made Las Vegas her permanent home. Until her retirement, she worked for State Farm Insurance. She enjoyed painting, crafts of all kinds, playing online games and always keeping in touch with old friends. Those who knew Barbara know that she kept up on all current events and was passionate about her political views. Many may not have known that she carried a great burden for POW, MIA and veterans of all branches of the military. Family and friends were the most important things in Barbara's life. Barbara is survived by her four children, Mark (Rie) Sabraw II, of Honolulu, Scott (Dawn) Sabraw of Henderson, Katherine (Steven) Bockhorst of Souderton, Pa., and Hilary (Jeff Franz) Bawden of Madison, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Andrew Shaw, Natalie Bockhorst, Keaton Mabry, Erika Sabraw, Abby Mabry, Madeline Franz -Bawden, Gabrielle Franz-Bawden, Olivia Franz-Bawden, Mark Sabraw III and Anais Grace Sabraw; brother, Robert (Cheryl) Lurvey of Oconomowoc, Wis.; along with one niece, Jill Lurvey. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S.
