Asbury Turner, Jr. known to most as Tejaye was the first born to Eva Jackson and Asbury Turner Sr. on February 10, 1941 in Cincinnati Ohio. Tejaye attended Taft High school in Cincinnati Ohio and after graduating enlisted in the United States Air Force. He married Yvonne Beckett and had 3 sons Anthony, Darryl and Duane. The majority of his military career was spent in Germany where he served as an Inventory Management Supervisor. He Retired in 1985 as a Master Sargent after 24 years of service. After his retirement he worked for the United States Postal service, the State of Nevada Corrections and finally the Metropolitan Police Department. where he retired after13 years of service in 2012.On February 12, 2012 after a 6-year courtship, Tejaye married Loretta Denson. Tejaye and Loretta met listening to live music and socializing with their many friends. If there was a party, a concert or an event, you would probably see them there. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Cincinnati Bengals. He also enjoyed shooting pool and playing bid whist in fact he called himself a “whistologist”. Tejaye is survived by his Loving wife Loretta & her son Randle, Son Anthony Turner and his wife Devron, Sons Darryl Turner and Duane Turner. Brother Thomas Turner his wife Deborah Turner their son Michael & wife their grandson Josh and sister Cora Terry. Five Grandchildren; Ashley, Brittney, Katarus, Danielle and Jazmine. Greatgrandchildren: Allaya, Arthur, Kimberly, Brianna and Devon. His devoted pets Gia and Lexi. His extended family “The Unit” and many friends.
