Art was born on August 20, 1940, in Newark, New Jersey and left this life June 8, 2023. His outgoing, friendly personality was his biggest asset. He never met a stranger. I remember one time we got on an elevator and he immediately said “I guess you’re wondering why I called this meeting” and by the time we reached the ground floor, everyone was laughing. He could sell snowballs to people in Alaska, sand to people who lived on the beach. He was my husband, father to Bill and Katrina, a loving grandpapa to Connor, Mary, Caroline, Kessa, Sabastian and Gryffin and deeply regretted not knowing his great-grandchildren Dastian, Kimara and Lockton. Above all, he was my best friend-pal-buddy and companion and never missed a night telling me this before we fell asleep. He was passionate about helping people less fortunate. He was known for handing out crosses as a way to open the door to tell people about his relationship with Jesus. We almost made 49 years of marriage and it was for or better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part. He will be missed.
