Arlene Honey King born July 27th, 1939, to her late parents Allan and Julia King, passed peacefully at her home on November 22, 2021, here in Las Vegas. with her sister, Hildene Holan by her side. Her battle with serious health issues the past few months showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Arlene came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. There are many words to describe ArleneBold, Brilliant, Courageous and Kind. Full of life, she always had a story to share! Raised in Chicago, she attended Senn High School, and received her BFA in acting from the Goodman Theater. While in NYC, Arlene wore many hats- Off Broadway performer, social worker, taxi driver, press agent and talent manager, to name a few. As a lyricist. Arlene was voted "Best New Songwriter of the Year" and awarded the highest new writer to join A.S.C.A.P. in the late 60's. Arlene moved to Las Vegas in 1989 and discovered her passion in real estate, where she succeeded for almost 30 years. Arlene is survived by her siblings, Harvey King (Barbara), Shari Jacobs (Howard Klein) and Hildene "Denie" Holan, who not only was her sister, but life partner and best friend. She will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Jodi, who became the daughter she never had, along with many cousins and special friends. We will have a memorial dedication and celebration for Arlene, family and friends will be notified of details to come.
