Arlene Mary Barczak, a retired computer data clerk of Las Vegas passed away July 13, 2016 at the age of 74. She was born on September 17, 1941 in Amsterdam, New York and had been a resident of Nevada for 30 years. Arlene was a wonderful loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and daughter-in-law. She was married to the late Fred Barczak for 30 years until he passed away in 2010. Her family was everything to her. Arlene’s favorite things to do were playing video poker, watching Jeopardy and answering the questions correctly, and decorating her home for every holiday with Christmas being her pride and joy. She was best known for her famous Golabki dish. Arlene was preceded by her parents, Arthur and Mary Brunt; her husband, Fred Barczak; and her mother-in-law, Helen Barczak. She leaves to cherish the memories, her three sons, James, Michael and Robert (Julie) Knapik; grandchildren, Amanda, James Jr., Justin, and Addison; several great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Brunt. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 22nd from 4-7pm. The funeral service is on Saturday, July 23rd , at 1pm. Arlene will be buried at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada with her husband.
