Apolonio was born on April 10, 1938 in Gandara, Samar, Philippines. In his young life, he worked as a postman and also met the love of his life, with whom he established a family with. He immigrated to the US in the 1990s, joining some of his family members, where he continued supporting a modest life for his family by working in casinos and retiring shortly after in Las Vegas.
Apolonio was a devoted family man who always went out of his way to make sure that his family members and those close to them were emotionally supported and taken care of, whether he cooked them food or simply spent quality time with them. As a father, he made sure his children were respectful and kind; as a grandfather, he would spoil them with endless love. He was also known for being selfless and having a very big heart of gold, as he would often go out of his way to share generous amounts of money to those he saw were in need.
Apolonio was an incredibly warm, hospitable and friendly man who could light up the room with his smile, humorous quips, stories about his life and advice. A lovely individual who lived a hardworking and honest life, Apolonio will be greatly missed as his family continues to honor his memory and legacy.
Apolonio is survived by his wife, Dionisia; his Children: Elizabeth, Jean, Anthony, Julius, Marilyn, Ferdinand and May; and the rest of his extended family, including his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many children-in-laws.
A private reception and visitation will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, on March 13, 2024 from 10 am to 12:00 pm. Apolonio’s funeral will commence shortly after, with the committal service being held from 1 pm to 1:30 pm.
