He was born in Cimarron, NM, and graduated from Maxwell High School in Maxwell, New Mexico in 1966. He met and married Linda Patricia Trujillo of Raton, New Mexico. He then joined the United States Air Force, serving in Vietnam, and was active duty for 30 years, retiring in 1997 from Nellis AFB in Las Vegas. During his time in the Air Force, he was able to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University. He attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E9) and was affectionately called “Chief” by many. After his retirement, he eventually became part owner of a Las Vegas based security company.
Tony was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers superfan but enjoyed watching professional football and basketball as well, when he wasn’t watching Fox News! He is survived by his eldest daughter Tami Sisneros (Russell Price) and their son Terryn (21) of Yoder, Colorado, his daughter Kimberly Sisneros, and her children Benjamin Shaffer (12) and Evie Sisneros (26) (Peirre Williams) and their 3 children, Peirre (8), Monica (7), and Ay’lijah (5), all from North Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Sisneros, Al Sisneros, Elma Trujillo, and Joe Sisneros along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Sisneros, his grandson Colby (Tami & Russell), his parents Juan and Marcelina Sisneros, and one brother Gilbert Sisneros as well as various others he loved.
Tony’s greatest joy in life was his family and he enjoyed spending many days with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who lived with him in North Las Vegas and visiting his living grandson in Colorado any chance he got. He shared an undying love for baseball with his great grandson Peirre and his grandson’s Terryn and Colby. Within the last few years, he was helping to coach his great grandkid’s baseball teams and had previously traveled to watch Terryn play club ball. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as someone who always had a smile, was very laid back, and had a very giving heart.
Memorial services will take place at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Centennial, Colorado on April 8, 2022, at 10:30 am, reception to follow at 11:30 am, 5303 East County Line Road. Military honors burial will be at 2:15 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. Denver, Colorado.
